What's happened 3 weeks ago:
Elijah has been missing since Feb. 20, when he disappeared from an apartment in Two Rivers.

He had been at a home with his mother's boyfriend, Jesse Vang, at the time.

Vang called police Feb. 20 and reported the boy missing, telling officers he had taken a nap and brought the 3-year-old in the bedroom with him, but when he awoke some three hours later, the toddler was gone, according to the complaint.
The boy's mother, Katrina Baur, told police she had left the 3-year-old with Vang on Feb. 12 for disciplinary reasons, because she wanted him to teach her son “to be a man,” and she had intended to pick him up Feb. 23.
She was aware of the tactics used and the lack of care provided.
Vang said most of his discipline involved making Elijah stand for 1 to 3 hours at a time, during which the boy is supposed to pray or repeat “I’m sorry, Mommy.” or was forced to take cold showers.

Much has unfolded in the case in the weeks since the young boy was first reported missing.

Charges were filed, new details on what happened prior to his disappearance were revealed and a vehicle of interest was identified.

As of March 8, additional charges had been filed against Baur.

Yesterday afternoon two Rivers police said a red and white plaid blanket was confirmed to belong to the boy.

I just don’t understand why men like this date women that have children.

Why not date someone that has no kids?

I hope the six year old is able to find a good home. I’m sure she’s experienced much trauma in her life as well.

The two words I always hate to see when reading stories about young kids are "mothers boyfriend"

A. Kid is dead
B. Kid likely suffered a terrible death
C. Both parents will be charged.

Here are the fine folks:

More good behavior:

Later that night, around 10:12 p.m., Baur messaged Vang and said her other child, a 6-year-old, could sleep in her car while Baur was at Vang's apartment, according to the complaint. Authorities report Baur's cell phone arrived in Two Rivers, Wis., just before 2:30 a.m. on February 14. According to the complaint, Baur left the 6-year-old sleeping in her car, which was turned off, while she went into Vang's apartment. The complaint states Baur messaged Vang "It should stay warm for a bit right", and he responded "yea it will". Authorities report, according to the National Weather Service, the high temperature in Two Rivers on February 14 was 36°, and the low was 27°.

There is no mention of Elijah Vue's biological father, other than "Ellijah's family".
So his mom entrusted the three-year-old toddler to a thirty-nine-year-old man with other criminal offences, including child abuse!

I don't have a good feeling at all.

Why do women with young children allow men like this into their lives is the bigger question. As a woman that is not a mother, I’d much rather be alone raising my children than subject them to abuse of any sort.

Sadly, the boyfriend killed this little guy. Thankfully they found his blanket, hopefully it leads to his body. LE know where both of their phones have been, my guess is they're searching those areas.

His biological father has been in prison many years according to one of the articles in the first post.

I guess they have the 6 year old. Thankfully they were not harmed except to sleep in the cold car.
