Whoever did it, and however they did it, it was a very smooth operation. The video announcer/journalist speculates, that by now the gold has been melted down, to avoid its identification.
The investigation by Peel Regional Police continues. No arrests have been announced.
“We understand the interest in this case,” said Peel Const. Donna Carlson.

“As this matter is now before the courts, we are unable to provide a comment,” said Peter Fitzpatrick, a spokesman for Air Canada. Before it was a matter in the courts, the airline also declined to comment.
Remember that $24 million plus Gold (and cash) Heist last April at Pearson Airport....
Air Canada Cargo flight from Zurich to Toronto.
Surprise, surprise.....it turns out to have been an inside job....
2 were Air Canada Cargo Employees....
And it was so easy....imo way too easy...Air Canada Cargo...very lax with high value Cargo.
Using a non descript 5 ton truck....and a "used" air waybill...(was for a seafood shipment
the day before).
The gold was melted down....long ago...only a few crudely made bracelets were "recovered",
valued at approx. $89,000.
Case was cold until the heist truck driver, Durante King-McLean got arrested in Pennsylvania back in
September 2023 driving a truck headed to Canada with 65 guns (some modified to automatic),
a big break in the case ....he is still being held in the States.
The two Air Canada Cargo employees ...
Parmpal Sidhu, 54 of Brampton, out on bail...
Simran Preet Panesar, 31 of Brampton....there is a warrant for his arrest...Police think they know where
he is ...
Ali Raza .....a Jewelry Store owner.....I guess he is the guy that melted down the gold
The rest of the gang ...all from Brampton....
Amrit Jalota
Ammad Chaudhary
Arsalon Chaudhary
Prasath Paramalingam
Archit Grover
Will make a really good Netflix movie or maybe even a mini series....
Talk about lax security....yikes .........inside job for sure....
Well....I was wrong....it has been "solved"...
But I was right about it being an "inside job"....
I wonder how the 2 Air Canada Cargo employees were "recruited"....
I doubt they had criminal records...I'm pretty sure Air Canada would have a
background check done on them before they were hired.
One of them, Parmpal Sidhu, continued working there and was just arrested
a couple of days ago and is already out on bail.
The other, Simran Preet Panesar, was a manager at Air Canada Cargo,
he even lead the Police on a tour of the facility after the heist! (gotta love that)
He quit a few months later.....has not been arrested yet (police think they know where he is).
There are very clear security videos of the heist going down....you can see
the forklift guy placing the 400 KG container of gold into the 5 ton truck...you can see the "masked" driver....was the forklift driver Parmpal Sidhu?, because if not ...should have been at least a bit suspicious....the truck was not a Brinks Armored Car....also, and I could be wrong,
but I think Brinks trucks usually have 2 uniformed guards ...and are armed.
