There's a 1PM Yankee game Saturday so morning trains will be more crowded than usual for a weekend. I'd get on right at the beginning maybe even New Haven itself to guarantee a seat.

Yes, I may have mentioned shaggy headed Greenwich kid in white BMW I've seen on a few occasions but this was from the other direction.

Thankfully, the destroyed bridge is only an overpass and it looks like once it’s demolished, 95 can reopen (hopefully by Monday).

Now that I look at this bridge more closely, that is the bridge one goes over when turning left at exit 14. I don’t think there has been a time I have done that and the traffic light on the Connecticut Avenue intersection wasn’t red, meaning quite a few time I have driven over that bridge and even waited on that bridge for the traffic light to change. Gulp…

I remember that. Mianus River Bridge collapse. Stratford Toll Booth accident also happened in 1983 that led the removal of tolls on I 95. At least this accident didn't cause any loss of life or limb.

The Merrit Parkway "no exit zone" (exits 42 to 44) is going to be beyond awful and so will the Cross Highway back roads. Time for back roads plan #2.
