In New Haven I like Modern, and I've had Pepe's in other chain locations. Zuppardi's is a stand out for their clam pie with freshly shucked clams. It was like a spiritual experience. Vermont doesn't have a lot of good pizza, so a trip to the New Haven area is like a come to Jesus moment when you've had pizza withdrawals.

Modern is my favorite pizza I’ve ever had in the world so far (excluding Deep Dish and Detroit Style Pizza). It’s sooo good, and they have a clam option as well! I can’t wait to give Zuppardi’s a try though!

Honestly the only thin crust pizza I’ve had outside of New Haven metropolitan area that even comes close to Modern and the others there is Ojai Pizza Company in Ojai, California! It’s not as good as New Haven pizza but it’s close in quality!

The owners of Valley Craft Ales in Wilmington (nice town btw) are from New Haven and do a pizza that looks pretty good. I haven't tried it yet. But the beer is good. And yes, most pizza in VT is rough.

Stylo, how would you rate Bufalina in Guilford? I remember you mentioned that pizza place a few times and was wondering what’s so special about it? How does that compare to the New Haven places and Zuppradi’s?

Thanks for doing this again Danny K, I always look forward to this. Only thing is since the last edition in 2022 I got promoted at my job and have a lot less time, so I may only be able to vote and not comment like I usually do.

I haven’t been to Bufalina in YEARS. I liked it a lot. I recall it being more of a conventional wood fired pizza. Need to go again
