What percentage of those will be attracted by the ever increasing new housing stock of New Haven (in addition, the cost of living is less and there is better quality of life in New Haven than in NYC)?

Changing one new for another. lol

PS. What do locals think of the effect in New Haven if it was to become a magnet for New Yorkers? Obviously it could be an economic boost for New Haven, but there are other influences such as with great numbers cames modifications in the culture, to mention one aspect. New Haven locals are fine with having their city culturally get more away from New England and closer to becoming an extension of New York?
NYC was better before 2022

NYC is fine now. I can get shows, restaurants, shopping, museums and people watching galore.

People need to settle down with the nonsense of NYC losing its luster. It’s not for everyone but is still one of the greatest cities in the world. If you don’t want to live there, fine, but it has a lot to offer and much of Southern Connecticuts value is largely owed to NYC.

So sometimes it’s the little things that are both a result of, and a catalyst to development. NH is debuting a very locally created beer garden downtown tomorrow at the Night Market. It’s supposed to be open through the Fall. This is the kind of thing you start to see in hip cities on the move and I think we have a truly hip small city in CT now.

Will they have the draping string lights up like the one in Sono?
No beer garden is complete without them

I don't know if its going to be that type of beer garden. Just looked it up, and it looks like this one is geared towards promoting the black cause.

IMHO, Trelleborg should be forced out, if necessary, by lawsuits over its checkered environmental past, before any new uses are considered.
