I saw this land for sale by an out of town broker recently, maybe they'll be some movement.

I think maybe they should make improvements to JR Allen Expressway entering Alabama to 280 because traffic is getting backed up pass the Bradley park exit every afternoon!

They need to go ahead and make a junction there and turn 280 into a limited access road around both cities

They need to expand it to I-85 between Montgomery and Auburn/Opelika. That interstate connection would have the potential to spur all kinds of new development.

(Actually, I want them to expand it to Columbus, MS because I want to see the chaos that would come from a sign pointing to both Columbuses).

I think it would be a smart move to go ahead an declare JR Allen as apart of Interstate 14! Theres not much work that needs to be done for it to be upgraded to interstate standards.

Columbus is working on that...thankfully

According to Columbus lore (which I've never bothered to research or confirm), the city council back in the day voted to be left out of the Interstate Highway System back in the 1950s because their mindset was the highway would bring "undesirables" to the city.

Regardless of whether or not it's true, Columbus has always been held back because of a lack of a major interstate connection.

LOL that would be a trip
Isn't that path proposed for I-14 - that would be a good investment to push the project

Yeah lights are the only addition I'd make to the road
Tall High beam lights at the 185 junction
Maybe a median/lights and extra lane in the center of the road
