I really like the uniforms. They incorporate some traditional elements that we haven't seen in years, but they're also very sleek looking.
It looks like they have several mix-n-match combinations with the new uniforms. I'm not really digging the all yellow look.. I'd actually be cool with them going back to their 8os uniforms full time. But I understand the objective to sell lots of alternate jerseys..
The most golden era I remember of WVU football was the '88 season. It's one of my strongest memories of college football, to be honest.
'99 Virginia Tech is another team/season I remember well.. just wish VT had won it all that year..

COAL RUSH BABY!!!!!!

These are sweet! An absolutely marvelous interpretation of a coal miner themed uniform.

-coal dust design on shoulders, collar, helmet, and pants
-reflectorize stripes on sleeves and pants like the miners would wear
-white "light" on helmet, representing a miners lamp

Well done WVU!

I gotta admit those coal black uniforms are hot!! No pun intended. The nike cleats aren't bad either. Almost makes me a WVU football fan. Key word being "almost."

I'm sure you'll be rooting for my Mountaineers following Week 1.

The old timers in WV aren't too happy about these uniforms. No Gold or Blue. But the way they are honoring the miners is admirable. Very detailed uniform.
