Kudos to Wilson. They were able to get this done before much larger cities like Greenville and Wilmington. They saw an opportunity and took it.

Wood Ducks are making some kind of a big announcement on Friday. Maybe they've lined up a new summer/independent team to come in next season to replace the team their losing?? Hopefully, that's the case. We'll find out soon enough, I guess...

I'm hoping they announce that the wood ducks will remain in Kinston in the Coastal Plain League, especially with Wilson's departure in the next couple of years. Only other league I could see would be the independent Atlantic League, but I doubt that.

But it could also just be something dumb like $3.14 opening night ticket sale for Pi day (a day late).

It was just that the players are getting a new style of jersey to wear during the games. One is a black DEWDS shirt with green and orange letterings, plus white trim. The other is orange KINSTON with green letterings and black trim. They look pretty nice, but can't speak on the quality (The new uniforms have been an issue for players during Spring Training.). They're saying no replica jerseys will be for sale, but the players' jerseys will be auctioned off after the season.
