This election isn't any different from any election in US history.
Every presidential election is marketed as voting for the man to solve all the problems.
Unless you want to stop democracy, all presidential candidates are sold the same way.

Anti-Christ is not one literal, physical human being, and American politics is not what it is about (by itself) it is more how the humans are brought up and how they administer within their own regions and times
It is the religious systemic and organisational disputes that have been opposed to the nature of Christ - that is what the Holy Scriptures were/are referring to
We human beings have all erred, sinned, transgressed over the past 2000 years or 2 Millenia, and we should be able to ‘see’ those errors, transgressions by now…..

I think that the ‘least’ which is us individually and personally are all being resurrected in physical bodies at this time (in different regions) which is why the population has exploded at this time into billions
The 1st century was where the flip happened and it is also a revolving point as well (the human universe) and all regions via the religious ‘types’ looked forward to it happening
At the beginning the population was very small and over time new soul/spirits have been added incrementally and others being judged dropped off
This I think is the 1st/last reference which is not just time related it is also various positions upper/lower and left/right
Within Time/space is where human ‘beings’ operate
Basically we need to understand there is relationship of a beginning, then what happens in the middle and then the end - and these happen at many different levels and many different times
We are just at the end of the last 2000 years, not the end of the actual planet/globe - its the end of a societal/social ‘era/age’ and transitioning to the next ‘era/age’

By this, I'm just saying there is a certain pattern of where God's people are persecuted, and then the one or ones doing the persecution are judged and done away with. This is going to keep happening until the real Antichrist shows up. Just like in Revelation you have the seven seals, then you have the seven trumpets, and finally the seven bowls. The world is priming itself for one last great persecutor. Those are my current thoughts.

I agree about the repeating patterns and cycles
But we need to have the correct starting point and the correct ending point and recognise that the whole has symmetry - going back to the Days in Genesis
And also the correct level
The Holy Scriptures are the written records that document it
The Protestants recognised the 1000 year reign of the Antichrist but that was where there is burial in ‘hades’
Christians are to have faith, hope , love in spite of the opposite that we observe or witness ‘down’ here
That is what Jesus ‘modeled’ at that time in the ‘middle/east’ and he predicted that there would be the global distribution as was predicted in Hebrew Scriptures and was to be reinforced/reiterated in the New Testament - they both make up the theological documents
Jesus wanted the whole world to know about it.

Yes, there is a biblical warning (1st Thess. 5:2-3) but Jesus wants the whole world to know about the gospel 'good news' of God's Kingdom with Jesus a King of God's Kingdom ( thy kingdom come..... ) - Matt. 24:14; Acts 1:8; 1st Cor. 15:24-26
Jesus, as King of God's Kingdom (Daniel 2:44; 7:13-14 ) will usher in global Peace on Earth among persons of goodwill
