Good for Uptown! The festival should be a huge economic boost for nearby bars and restaurants.
Rain or shine, I hope people come out in droves and support it. Chicago, and other urban areas have music festivals, are they largely successful?! Maybe one day this will be on the level of Boonaroo or Lollapalooza.

I went as a birthday weekend gift to my wife, and I must say that this thing was much larger than I had expected it to be. People actually traveled in from as far away as Iowa (and perhaps even farther). Florida, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey were there as well. In my opinion, something such as this was long overdue. Music brings in a totally different crowd that sporting events simply don't attract in large numbers. Events such as this one was the main "missing piece" in uptown. Hopefully this is the first of many more!!!

I’m glad you had a great time. Maybe next year for me. Great for Uptown as well.
