I will be visiting Charleston over Thanksgiving and would love to bring my Jetskis down to explore the waters around there. Unfortunately, the AirBNB doesn't have room for my trailer so I'm wondering if there is a short-term secure place to store them while there. We'll be staying near the MUSC health center and thank you in advance for any suggestions.!
Many of the local Marinas offer transient storage options, but I believe they have a minimum length requirement. Try calling LifeStorage on Mount P. They are gated and offer extended service hours outside of daily operation hours. It's close to Shem Creek which is a great spot to launch and return to. Heading out of Shem Creek you'll notice plenty of drink/dining options. At the creek mouth you can head left down the ICW (behind Sullivans Island and Isle Of Palms), or right toward the Cooper River close to Downtown Charleston. Just past the bridge you'll find Drum Island to the left. It's a great spot to get out explore at low tide. There is a nice shoal on the west side across from the old Charleston Coal Tipple that you should be able to drive up on.
