Always like your innovative thoughts, Ledmonkey, but zoos in the South are rare & expensive. Even Disney's safari park (can't recall name) had to add an AC-like system to bring the big cats out from shady areas (hidden from visitor's views). Brookgreen Gardens & Charlestowne Landing do have a small zoo-like area though.

ya.... they should do something with it though, beyond the aquarium and water parks there aren't many kid friendly things to do for tourists. And for both of those things Myrtle beach has superior ones. I'm not saying we need to become a tourist trap but we need something..... more.

More museums (interaction and education) Ex: Science and Tech (like they have in London)

Also we need more outside basketball and tennis courts downtown

It would be a good area for camp outs.... Can't imagine where you would be stuff like that downtown though, unless you want to put it on rooftops like those tennis courts near the VA medical center.

bball courts cannon park near the Rite Aid (along the wall),
Waterfront park has space for both, away from the tourist area. Just need someone to get the ball rolling

As far as Science and tech goes, maybe COC being classified as a research institute will help that if it passes legislature next week.

Since Downtown is at a stand still. Mount Pleasant residents are also voicing their concerns

Did I miss the memo that a mere 75ft tall building now constituted being a "high rise". What is this, amish country?
