My hope with auto insurance companies is I never have to deal with them. Why do you need so much support?

If you have good credit and a good driving record then I can fully recommend Amica Insurance.

They are excellent. I recently was hit by another car in a parking lot and the other driver claimed for me to be at fault. But clearly the damage showed it was impossible for me to be at fault as my car doesn't move sideways.

Progressive Ins, tried to blame each of us 50/50 but after arbitration the other party was 100% at fault and actually, Progressive already started to pay out just prior to arbitration. I guess the arbitration thing may not be something they liked too much.

I got 100% of my already paid deductible credited as I was charged that when I had my car fixed.

Amica took such a great care of everything and followed up so well that I felt appreciated as a customer/insured client. This was the first time in 21 years of being insured that a car insurance company was handling this all so great.

Does Amica insure all across the country? Or does it "red line" (my choice of words) some zip codes?

I don’t know. What I do know is that they don’t write homeowners insurance in all areas.

If you can get decent rates, it's always better to go with a company that enables you to speak to an actual agent be this thru one of the big carriers like State Farm, Allstate, Farmers or using an insurance broker.

It's very very important to make sure that your policy is providing you with enough liability coverage to protect your assets! People get so hyper focused on rates that they often times lose track of what they are purchasing.

Most good agents will be looking to give you advice on how to give you enough coverage but yet try to keep your costs down. Also, they are more apt to try to develop a plan that really protects you. A good example of this would be recommending an umbrella policy.

When dealing with companies like Geico and Progressive, you are just another sale to them. They will shamefully offer you the cheapest price but often times these policies are garbage. Very few sales reps from these companies will analyze and advise.

I always shop auto insurance rates comes renewal time. I use Independent Insurance Agents to find me the best price. I am currently with Auto Owners Insurance but they do not insure in all US States.

We have Progressive and hands down no other carrier could match the cost. We'll know what increase they make when we get the renewal notice next month. $234 for two vehicles this past February and an increase to $250 in August. It is through an independent agent (AAA).
