The other poster, whom I was responding to, did indeed imply that many of these "blue cities" are undesirable, which is why people are leaving them.

Desirability for these places is a fact supported by home prices. If they weren't desirable, people wouldn't pay those prices.
Yes of course, right wing media. Thank you for clearing things up.

Just ask the residents in Texas how they feel about all the Californians moving in and running up the price of real estate with the wealth they brought with them.

As Texas continues to turn into East California, the long-time Texans priced out will in turn move to a metaphorical hell so that they may reign again.
Texans might tell you that Californians are turning their heaven into hell. And why are "all the Calfornians" fleeing their own heaven?

You might want to take this up with the Public Policy Institute of Calfornia. And the United States Census Bureau. "California's population shrunk in 2023 for the third straight year." "Between January 2020 and January 2023, California lost 800,000 residents." Right wing media concoctions?

Just stating facts. Check into who first came up with the notion of "red" vs "blue" cities? Better yet, just tune into Fox News on a random day.

And oh, I specifically blamed right wing media, not right wing conservatives. You misquoted me on purpose.

You, yourself do nothing but perpetuate the divide. Everything....everything.....is left or right to you, red or blue. You probably aren't even aware of it. You're arguably the greatest offender here. I'm a Democrat who believes Republicans have a lot of good ideas that we should listen to. Seriously, how are we doing without them?

No, but that bastion of hard right-wing thought, CNN, is clearly spreading propaganda about highly desirable cities.

That's a reduction of less than 2%. I'd hardly call this "all the Californians" leaving. California has for many years seen low-income people leave while high-income people come. This isn't new, and it's not surprising that low-income people would leave at a higher rate as housing prices skyrocket.

Yes, rightwing media concoctions. They've been making these claims for years. The tales of an exodus from California just aren't true.
