When researching a neighborhood or even a specific address, I have found the following links to be useful. Keep in mind, I am sort of intense when it comes to researching my next home.

Homefacts has lots of statistics, from sex offenders, crime rates, School ratings, demographics, etc.

Ada County Assessor's office. Look up the address of the home you are considering purchasing:
Ada County Assessor

Icourt Portal. Once you get the homeowners name from the Ada County Assessor office, check out their driving record of possibly criminal infractions here. Maybe I am paranoid, but if a lot of arrests are involved I would be nervous buying the house in case past criminal partners show up.

Naturally the Ada County crime map has to be a place to check.
ArcGIS Web Application

Will your neighbor be a sex offender?

OK, here is an interesting one - AIRBNB for the area. Entire houses are being rented for a few days. Do I want to live next door to a house that is an AIRBNB? Strange new guests every couple of days????

Was the house you are looking at ever a Meth Lab?

Did anyone ever die in the house you are looking at buying? (Costs to use and I haven't tested it myself)

Thanks that's good to know. I almost bought a new 2002 WS-6 Trans-AM but got the Corvette instead.

Stop scaring me! I am hoping these are freedom-seeking refugees and not Marxists. CO has been absolutely taken over by CA leftists and even a moderate like Corey Gardener could not survive such ideologues. CO is deep blue now, like VA... but who knows? anything can happen in this country today?!

Anyone has any idea of the voter registration growth in Idaho due to mass internal migration? My home State of FL has shifted deep red thanks to internal migration... how about Idaho?
