FYI, they just finished repaving Hwy 79 between Finley Blvd and Adamsville. Also they are in the middle of repaving from I-65/I-22 junction all the way pass Gardendale.

Yeah, I hate that stretch of road. It is so rough and uneven and people fly through there, or at least try to.

ALDOT is once again about to start another road project. I-20/59 from 12th Ave N. bridge to the split interchange is getting repaved along with the on/off ramps at the Tallapoosa St. and Airport Hwy exits.

Current list of ALDOT Jefferson County current/ongoing road projects.

Hwy 280 expansion from Hollywood Blvd to Pump House Road.
Hwy 280 repaving from Cahaba River to Eagle Point Pkwy.
I-65 repaving from Gardendale to Warrior
I-65 repaving from 4th Ave to Greensprings Hwy
I-20/59 repaving from Arkadelphia Hwy to Fairfield
I-20/59 repaving from 12th Ave N to I-20/59 split
Red Mountain Expressway expansion/repaving/exits rebuilt from 2nd Ave N to Homewood
I-59 expansion from I-459 to Chalkville Mt. Road
I-459 repaving from Hwy 280 to Grants Mill Road
I-59 repaving from Chalkville Mt. Road to Jefferson/St. Clair county line
I-20 repaving from Hwy 78 exit to Jefferson/St. Clair county line
I-59 repaving from Alabama Adventure exit to I-459/I-59 interchange

yea all they did was moved it from the left to the right smh.
