Four more cases for the Marlins came up today, so their season will be put on pause for a week. No games against Baltimore, or against the Nats this weekend who voted not to travel to Miami anyways. All of their games up through this Sunday have officially been postponed with the 3 games against the Phillies in Miami scheduled for Tuesday to Thursday likely to get put on the chopping block as well, so they likely won't be back in action until August 7 @ the Mets....if even than and if MLB doesn't get shut down before then. I'll update this thread later on the in the week if any more information becomes available.

I was told by someone in Miami who knows some personnel the quantity is under reported btw.
Looks like some players on the Fish went out to bars and clubs in Atlanta and that's how they got it... sounds a lot like it was when Lou Williams of the Clippers left the NBA bubble to go to a strip club... wouldn't be surprised to see consequences for the Fish.
on the positive side no new cases for the 2nd straight day...

Derek Jeter's golden aura gets a bit more tarnished with the passing of time. This happened on his watch and the ultimate responsibility for it is his. Since the failure of the Marlins organization to control their players endangers the entire baseball season, I would think that some sort of sanctions or penalties would be in order.
Of course when the blame for the Houston cheating scandal was being apportioned, Jim Crane managed to avoid having any of it land on his head by firing his GM and field manager. Jeter should find some organizational scapegoats and give em their walking papers, that will deflect blame from him.
They returned to the field and swept the Orioles 4 games in Baltimore, with the Marlins serving as the "home team" for 2 of those games, but then lost 2 of 3 in Queens against the Mets. They'll finally have their first true home games of the year assuming they can play in Miami. They'll head to Buffalo for 2 games against the Jays, in the Jays home opener, a team like the Marlins that has been a traveling nomad so far, before playing the Braves for 3 in Miami over the weekend.
In other East action from the last 2 weeks: The Braves split 4 with Tampa, won 3 of 4 against the Mets, 2 of 3 against Toronto, and currently have won 2 of 3 against the Phillies after sweeping a double header today with the final game of that series scheduled for Monday. The Mets split 4 games with Boston, and split 2 in Washington, the Nats split 4 games in DC against the Jays, and got swept by Baltimore, and the Phillies split 4 games with the Yankees. The Braves (11-6) currently lead by a half game over the Marlins even though the Marlins have a higher winning percentage, Mets (7-9) and Phillies (4-6) are each 3.5 back while the reigning World Series Champs are 4 back. The Mets are currently tied with the Reds for the final Wildcard spot, both 2 games behind the Padres.
They split 2 with the Blue Jays in Buffalo, and in their first "home" series of the year they lost 2 of 2 to the Braves. They have a 8 game week upcoming; 4 at home against the Mets, and 4 in Washington with a double header.
In other East action during the past week: the Braves lost the final game in Philadelphia to end last weekends series, and got swept in 2 games in the Bronx before heading to Florida, Mets split 4 at home with Washington and then got swept in Philly, Phillies got swept in a midweek series with Baltimore, and the Nats split 4 with the Orioles in Baltimore including the conclusion of a game that was suspended last Sunday. Marlins are in a virtual dead heat with the Braves (13-10) for the division lead, they are both 2 games up on the Phillies (8-9), Washington is 8-11 and 3 games back, while the Mets are in last at 9-14.
Braves supporter here, is this the year the Marlins lose a post-season series????
