Split 2 with the Orioles before losing 2 of 3 to Boston. Battled the O's tough, they pitched a shut out with Burnes on the rubber, and lost a wild one in extras the next night. 3 games on the South Side of Chicago and than 3 games in Philly this weekend. White Sox had won 4 straight games before Cleveland beat them in the series finale Sunday, and the Phillies are one of the hottest teams around. I figure they'll lose the series in Philly but maybe they can win the series in Chicago, so I'll settle for a 3-3. Best case is 4-2, worst case is 1-5. phillies are in first, Braves are 1.5 back, Washington is 8 back, Mets are 8.5 back, and the Marlins are 17.5 back.

Well, the worst happened. They won the first game of the double header in Chicago, and than lost the final 5 games of the week. 6 home games this week, 3 vs. the Twins, and 3 vs. Seattle. Twins were doing good for a while but since having their 12 game winning streak halted by Boston a few weeks ago they have lost 8 of their last 13 games including the last 6 in a row. Seattle is currently leading the AL West, but they are struggling as Julio Rodriguez only has 2 home runs on the season. A good week is 4-2, what I expect is 3-3, and a bad week is 1-5 again. Phillies are in first, Braves are 4.5 back, Mets are 12 back, Nats are 12.5 back, and the Marlins are 19 back.

3-3 week, which is what I thought would happen. It might have been 4-2, but they punted the finale of the Seattle series after winning the first 2 games by starting Patrick Corbin, the worst starter in the league, and the final game of the Twins series they were down by 1, and Davey had his best hitter gave up an out in the 9th to bunt a runner to second with 2 batters batting under .200 hitting behind him, so that wasn't too smart. 4 games in Atlanta and 3 games in Cleveland this week. Atlanta is an astounding 6 games behind the Phillies in the division so far, and just lost Acuna to another knee injury yesterday, and Cleveland surprisingly has the 2nd best record in the majors. A good week is 5-2, what I expect is 2-5, and a bad week is 0-7. Phillies are in first, Braves are 6 back, Nats are 13.5 back, Mets are 15 back, and Miami is 19 back.

A decent week. 3 of 4 in Atlanta, but lost 2 of 3 in Cleveland. Trevor Williams continues to be one of the more underrated pitchers in baseball this year. Another 7 game week this week; starts with 3 at home against the Mets and than another 4 game series against the Braves starting on Thursday. Mets are just a disaster right now losing 17 of their last 23 games DFA'ing decent pitchers for calling his team the "worst team in the league" and are as close to the Marlins in last as they are to the Nats for 3rd. And the Braves won 2 of 3 against the A's after the Nats left town, and than stop up in Boston before heading down to DC. A good week again is 5-2; what I expect is 4-3, and a bad week is 2-5. Phillies are still the top team in baseball, Braves are 6.5 back, Nats are 13 back, Mets are 16.5 back, and the Marlins are 20 back.
