I’m thinking it’s our guys testing the defenses of various bases and ships. Navy seems to have a great batting average knocking drones down in the Gulf of Aden.
Very interesting read. I did other searches as well and "drone swarm warfare" seems to be the new thing now in modern military tactics as well as military surveillance. Lots of information on it. Note for others that this has nothing to do with UAPs or UFOs beyond the element that they are difficult to trace and follow. No leaving at light speed, no dipping into the ocean. These are standard rotor-craft designed for military applications...cheap and readily available, and easy to operate. The article seems to suggest these are Chinese Military (in one case a Chinese freighter was nearby), a few cases may be just fisherman because drone fishing seems to be a thing now as well.
Drones of course have been highly successful in Ukraine War, but a swarm adds the added element of overwhelming any practical defense. The article also mentions "anti-drone" countermeasures which I am sure are highly secretive by the US government, radio frequency jammers and all that. I do hope our military are focusing on this.
Ships crew not detained, maybe because the US Military is not allowed to operate in that capacity (as police officers) within US borders per federal law.
