I don’t consider it a conundrum; you liked it or you didn’t, but it is a successful series for Spielberg, Hanks and Apple TV+. That said, I don’t think the point was to relay terror as much as it was a humanistic approach i.e. courage, sacrifice and the friendships/stories relative to (and in spite of) the dangers and loss the airmen faced on a daily basis.
