Pit stops will be interesting, for a while, as the teams get used to the "center lock" wheels. I don't remember, are they going to still use the manual jacks, or are they switching to the "in car" hydraulic jacks, too?

One thing that's interesting is that with only one "lug nut" to R&R, the tire changer now has to wait for the jackman to drop the car and run around to the other side, before he can begin to remove the left front tire.

If you watch close, the front tire changer does start to take off the lock before the car is off the ground. Also keep in mind its just one "lugnut" vs five. In time itll get faster Im sure.
I know the Clash is getting a lot of knocks, but I will watch it, and I don't usually watch NASCAR.
Unless they just go all out for putting on a show, basically going demo-derby.. I suspect you won't be back.
That's the problem. Most likely, the racing won't be good. So, if new eyes are brought in.. They won't really see what the sport is like. I was fine with it running on the Road Course. That.. Makes some sense. They're often competitive and.. Look at last year. Leaders took themselves out on the final turn and 3rd place won.
This is a gimmick. Not unlike the Bristol dirt race. And, like that.. I suspect it will not pay off well.
