What Marta is doing with this is BRT is honestly too little already based on the renderings. The bus lanes should have barriers and enforcement should absolutely be happening. Buses are supposed to be every 10 mins from my understanding so any random person who thinks they are entitled to delay a larger amount of other people just because it isn’t themselves is incredibly selfish and should pay a fine as clearly they won’t learn any other way. Especially when you consider that damn near all of our infrastructure caters to cars giving up small amounts for some bus lanes is the least we can do.

To be fair, we were coming down the road the other day and the back end of a MARTA bus was jutting out into our lane. Several cars had to go around it.

It didn't look like there were many (any?) people on the bus.

@arjay57 I love reading your comments...

...in seriousness though, folks shouldn't be using the bus lane for parking. I agree with other folks who state they need to segregate the lanes for automobile traffic altogether rather than enforcing them with cameras however.

Thanks, N4C.

It's possible some businesses along the high speed line will lose some of their "just-run-in" customers and the delivery services may be aggravated, but maybe that's the price of progress. At least the bus patrons will be rapidly zooming from Point A to Point B.

None of these services/parkers should be doing this on a through lane to begin with.

The same should be said for bike lanes. Yet once a bike lane is inserted/painted, people park in them. But the same people say bikes shouldn't be on the road. The hypocrisy LOL.

A number of times I have seen cyclists who choose to ride on the road, even though there is a dedicated bike path immediately adjacent to it.

Because there are runners on the "dedicated bike path".

And what happens when there is no path? Motorists think it's fair game to run over cyclists.

The times I've seen this the bike paths were empty.

But I agree that motorists need to treat cyclists with caution and respect. They are most certainly not "fair game!"
