‘What Would I Do?’ Frank Gehry, 92, Is Too Busy to Retire
‘I'm just free to build, now I don't have to worry about fees’
Renowned architect is focused on social justice projects but also has lighthearted pursuits
Asked whether, given his age and accomplishments, he has considered taking a break or scaling back, Gehry dismisses the idea. “What would I do?” he says. “I enjoy this stuff.” https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/a...fees-1.4537253
A very impressive and inspiring designer. I don’t love each and every one of his designs but give him much credit for his imaginative spirit, willingness to push boundaries in both design and structure and especially for his breadth and length of work in the architectural field.
he is one of the top guys to call when you want the ugliest and least functional building money can buy.
+1 Ugly!
But hey, good for him for keeping busy as long as he keeps getting work to do.
