Not impressed with, Modelo or any other lite beers.
Me likes IPAs.
However, they all cause havoc with my DB2. I get tunnel vision after a couple gulps on any alcohol beverages.

Why would anyone think a beer choice is political???

Modelo is usually a bargain priced beer where I've lived. It's OK, better than most. I drank it now and then because a place nearby had a slice of pizza and a Modelo for $3.95. All these "best selling" advertisements are just plain advertising hoopla, you can configure them to make any beer the top seller.

I think some people don't choose beer based on flavor. Price maybe? Advertising??

As long as I can still find Yeungling, Stella or Leinenkugel I don't care which brand is numero uno.
Yeungling and Modelo lager are my 2 favorites.

Oops. Didn't realize that this was an old thread that I had already posted in.

It just shows the lite beer makers their brand fragility. The beer flavor really doesn't matter because there are plenty of other lite beers.

Its a pretty decent beer. I only drank in in Abq, there was a place that had a special where you could get slice of pizza w/ a Modelo for $3.95.
