People have been fighting over land for centuries, even though we have more people now than ever.

Also, never underestimate a man and his EGO.

Yea, funny how everyone thought the Russian military was something to fear. After Ukraine it's starting to look like a bunch of disorganized militias instead. Of course, we still need to fear their technology especially nuclear. US could win it alone, but it feels good having NATO too!

Russians suggesting they could reclaim Alaska is quite laughable.

Never underestimate Biden. He might say that a "minor incursion" into the Aleutian Islands or the coast near Nome is tolerable.

What Putin really needs to do is find some way to get Russian women to have more babies, as their population keeps shrinking, and they can't even put an army, navy or air force together without hiring mercenaries from the Middle East or AFrica.

As for the nukes, nukes have a limited lifespan of 10-20 years, and after that, they're inept.

There is a prominent US political figure who does appear to be a Putin apologist, but his last name ain't Biden.

Well duh. Donald Trump!

. "I'd say that's pretty smart. He's taking over a country -- really a vast, vast location, a great piece of land with a lot of people, and just walking right in."

That was his comment regarding Putins invasion of Ukraine.
Perhaps he’d feel the same way about a similar incursion into Alaska.

As long as the result lines his pockets and he can spin it into a brag, why not? As for people who just happen to live there, they're expendable peons. Unless he can weasel even more money out of the pockets of those poor dumb suckers.

Who cares? It doesn't matter if the politician is Russian or not. None of that has to do with caring for Alaska, end even Alaskan politicians-from all sides-only care for preserving their status quo. The ones who really care get either kicked out, or is forced into becoming powerless and eventually forgotten. Putin knows well how much natural resources Alaska has, and also that the US Government isn't going to give-away all the riches the State of Alaska contains in both water and land. And if you, "Alaskan" really thinks that you owe some of this state, you better look at who owns the entire mass of land and water.

More damage to each other (Alaskans) is done by ourselves taking sides.
