I've been approached about a role which can be based out of either Uganda or Kenya. Given the nature of the company, I expect that the base of operations in either country will be Kampala or Nairobi.
In which city would a coddled Westerner fit in better and enjoy life better? I have heard that Nairobi is much safer now than it was in the recent past, but I've also heard that Kampala is safe enough. Kampala might not be as developed, though, I suppose. You'll have to forgive my complete ignorance as I've never set foot in Africa.
Nairobi is what I am most familiar with as I grew up in Kenya (not in Nairobi though.)
