Africa has since a child been a place that sent my imagination running but have sadly until now never visited...someday. I would probably choose due to my knowledge thus far of them choose:
1. Morocco....It's history, architecture and culture seems magical.
2. Madagascar...is unique with it's rainforests, native wildlife and culture unlike others on the continent.
3. Tanzania...arguably one of the more economically stable countries on the continent, it offers unsurpassed wildlife conservation and an attractive capital city (Dar Es Salaam).
4. Mauritius...one of the world's best tropical beach escapes.
5. Algeria...the Romans, Ottomans, Byzantines, Phoenicians and several others left behind amazing examples of architecture and cultural influence not seen anywhere else. The capital city of Algiers on the Mediterranean is beautiful, and a trip in and of itself.
The only country in Africa I have a desire to visit is Ghana. Ghanaians are great ambassadors for their homeland. Every Ghanaian person I know is chill. I would have liked to visit Libya before...the thing. That country could have been a model for the rest of Africa. Other than those, I really haven't thought much about it.
ETA
I forgot Senegal. It'd be nice to see that ginormous statue in person.
Kenya, to Nairobi and Nakuru. My future wife is from there and most of her family is still there, Mom, a daughter and a couple grand kids not to mention countless uncles, aunties and cousins. She is of the Kikuyu tribe. We will be spending a month there early in 2019. Much to see and do.
I've been to Tunisia and Egypt so discounting those.
1. Namibia - there's something about the desolation, the wonderful desert and the Namibian desert elephants that just grab my imagination. Also the unique culture.
2. South Africa - Of course I want to experience Cape Town and the fabulous diverse geography. Shame about the increasing security risks but I'm still willing to go, material things can be replaced if need be.
3. Algeria - Vast country that fascinates me. Want to experience the Sahara here, visit Algiers, Constantine, Ghardaia, Annaba, Tlemcen, Djanet and Batna and delve into its Roman history.
4. Zambia/Zimbabwe - Victoria Falls would be a dream come true. Would've liked to visit Zimbabwe's archaeological site but would need to do more research before considering travelling.
5. Ethiopia - Unique and wonderful culture and landscapes that remind me of Colombia.
Madagascar
Australia
Tanzinia
Sri Lanka
and I'm not so sure on the 5th
When did Sri Lanka and Australia become African countries?
