Comments:
NOTE: A countertop steamer was smoldering and the DC Fire Department (DCFD) was called. According to the manager on duty, Mr. Trezevant, DCFD opened the unit's side panels and noticed some frayed wires that were touching the insulation resulting in the smoke observed by the chef. DCFD then applied the fire extinguisher. Power is shut off to the unit and it will be removed from the premises tomorrow morning. Although there is a slight burning odor in the kitchen, no smoke damage was observed anywhere in the kitchen. The exhaust system is functioning properly.
NO OBJECTION TO RESUMPTION OF OPERATIONS
