For crease123 also- the amphitheatre in the park hosts weekly concerts, battle of the bands and fitness events during the warm weather. There are also a lot of pick-up sports teams in the fields and organized play. I can't wait to see what comes up this year... we used to live in a townhouse across from the park/library and when searching for a home to buy, really didn't want to leave the village. It's ideally located, imo.

Does anyone know the status of the Crownmill Condos project in Marcellus discussed above?

http://www.mckbuildingassociates.com/crownmill.htm

Or, the $16M project proposed for Manlius.

http://blog.syracuse.com/east/2009/07/developers_propose_16_million.html

Are either under construction, or is there a delay due to the financial crisis.

Thanks

The Crown Mill project has been completed. A good number of the units have already sold. Here are some links:

I'm note sure about the Manlius project.

Haven't seen any action over there, but they had indicated starting sometime this year. They didn't seem to specify when; CBD's web page for the most part lists no information (though a Google search does yield the proposal document from their web server). I don't recall any follow-up stories as a result of planning meetings, but they certainly could've been missed.

What’s In Store: The Village Walk Project is delayed - NewsChannel 9 WSYR

According to channel 9, the project's delayed a bit due to trouble finding tenants (what a surprise, in this economy...).

I wonder what the rent is supposed to be and if there's any grant funding or loan incentives for a new business there... I was just thinking of this the other day but the unknowns were too much to think about in earnest, at least on that day. lol

Update - The Village Walk project in Manlius is delayed, a search for tenants is slow. It is supposed to move forward though over the next two years. I hope this one gets off the ground!
