I watch Marseille-Brighton. Brighton was awful in the first half and gave up two goals. They managed to score two in the second half for the draw. 2 matches, 1 point. Unexpected.

Liverpool played well but missed a lot of chances. It was 1-0 deep into the match and one mistake could have dropped two points. Jota scored an extra time goal for 2-0 but poor finishing made it closer than it should have been.

Newcastle pumped PSG. That's not a bad result for an English club. Big game for Arsenal next round. That group is wide open. A lose to Sevilla will put them under a lot of pressure.

I watched Liverpool destroy Toulouse. Liverpool had a few defensive lapses and Toulouse should have scored a few more goals but they were very much outmatched. The talent level is about like a better Championship team. They had 19 year old Luke Chambers at left back for injured Andy Robertson and no Virgil Van Dijk or Konate in CB. It’s hard to imagine Liverpool not getting deep into the knockout rounds.

I think. Arsenal will scrape by and Kane's wait for a trophy continues.

Assuming Mbabbe leaves this summer how many more years are the Qatari's really going to invest in PSG?? I've been saying for 2 or 3 years now that 24/25 was going to be the cut off, if they haven't won the Champions League by then the funding would end, because after a while the Ligue 1 titles and domestic League titles just aren't going to be enough and aren't going to cut it. We'll see how they do Tuesday in Spain. Obviously the road goals tiebreaker is no more and all they have to do is win at Camp Nou (or the little Camp Nou if they are still playing there) by 1 and they force extra time & PK's, but man that's a lot of pressure on PSG.

The red card certainly changed the fate of PSG.

I wouldn't be a Spurs supporter without taking some joy at Arsenal's loss. Bayern was excellent on the defensive side against a strong attacking team. Kane still has a good shot at silver.

Arsenal still have a lot to learn when playing top European teams, i felt they approached that game like an away day at Brentford
