Well, Jeff Saturday has had his chances. The Colts had gone 3-5 in a tumultuous, chaotic season prior to Saturday's whirlwind arrival. And when the Saturday-led Colts won their first game together, it seemed like they might be writing the beginning of a beautiful story together. But now that the season is over, we know that the Colts went 1-7 under Saturday's leadership.
I was hoping this was going to work out, but just judging from the top-line numbers, I think it will take a pretty generous reading of the last 8 games to get Saturday the job of "Head Coach" instead of "Interim Head Coach". What do the real Cots fans think will happen? It's gone badly with Saturday, but can yet another change in leadership coming so soon in that organization be good?
While I agree they didn't look good under Saturday, not only with the 1-7 record losing 7 in a row but also having the biggest blown lead ever in the history of the NFL, there are a lot more problems with the organization than just the head coach. Firstly, Irsay needs to lay off the meddling so much. I feel he used to be better about leaving it to the people he hired to do exactly that but lately, it feels like he's really been interfering. I think this will be a mediocre team for a while. We got really spoiled during the Manning years.

Yeah, I mean, I don't know, but from what I've read they've had 7-8 different starting quarterbacks and two different head coaches in the past 4 years. That's an awful lot of change... instability really. Until they can settle down and stick with the same leadership for awhile, I can't really see them going anywhere, and I wonder if getting new coaches and new quarterbacks, again, really makes sense. I guess a lot of this has been Irsay's doing?

No one can stop a boulder the size the Colts had rolling down the hill like they had. I think if Saturday had a full off season to pick and choose his staff and players, then he could be fairly evaluated
Flacco signed with the Cleveland Browns practice squad in Week 12 and ended the 2023 season as the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year Award winner.
