Also please be mindful when starting new threads. Low-content posts belong in team threads, no need to start a brand new thread for something remedial. If you need help finding a team thread, see the other sticky to this forum.
Of course, subjects will come up that warrant their own threads, and that is fine, we just ask that you keep the above in mind before you click that "start new thread" link.
This sticky will be updated from time to time to reflect the happenings of the forum.
1. Team threads are for team business; latest news on injury reports, new acquisitions, results of games, players waived, etc. For the most part people who post on this threads are fans of this team. Other fans can post so long as it pertains to these topics. People posting snarky and insulting messages will be dealt with quickly. Orangeish and myself will not tolerate it. That goes for the college threads as well.
2. Threads that only have youtubes posted will be looked at closely. Commentary is needed for these threads to be valid.

3. Another observation here on a matter that popped up recently. The decision of how the team thread is worded is up to the OP who created the thread. If other fans of that club want to make a name change, I generally can work with those people and change the name, provided that the OP is ok with the decision. If the OP is no longer posting on City Data because of whatever reason, that request is complied with, so long as the Terms Of Service has been observed. That thread title is the privelege and responsibility of the OP. I treat team threads a little differently than other threads for this reason.
Most threads get contentious in no time at all. Fans of a particular team want to go to their team thread and compare notes with other fans without snarky commentary from someone who isn't a fan of their club. Thread titles of course are worded to comply with Terms Of Service and how they title their thread is their business and no one elses, including me.

Effective 8/5/20 there will not be a specific moderator to cover the pro football sub forum. If there is a TOS issue or a post/thread that needs to be worked on, just make the report and a moderator will take care of the issue.
