The state budgeted nearly $3.5 million to provide 60 illegal alien families in Brunswick with two years of rent.
The state is also supplying $100,000 to dozens of Brunswick illegal aliens for a year’s worth of asylum application and work authorization assistance.
I think that American citizens should come first. If someone wants to help them, then the money should come out of their own pockets, not the taxpayer's. We are in enough debt as it is. Besides, bringing third world people here doesn't solve the problems in the countries they come from. Are we supposed to keep bringing them here now forever?

By my rough calculations that works out to around $29k per year, per family.

I assume that these families do not speak English, so they will require an army of case-workers who speak whatever languages. The children of these families will likely be forced to attend public schools, and the school districts will then need to hire ESL teachers for so many languages.

The last I saw the average tuition for public school students was $9,000 / year, this should drive that cost up to at least $20k per student per year.

I fear this is beginning to drift toward a political statement. Which would be seen as off-topic and against the rules of this forum.
