My older son has a Masters in Social Work. He does counselling and has a side gig doing competency evaluations for local court systems. He does valuable work.
My friends who are social workers all either work in residential treatment, foster care, or with law enforcement evaluating people for 5150. Social workers are also people responding to calls into Child Protection Services. When my father died last month, it was a SW who called me and made sure everything was okay. Social workers do very valuable work, and are often vastly underpaid for that work.

Well, everybody gets to do something stupid and embarrassing before they hit 25. I suppose this is her moment. Good luck, kid. It'll be interesting to see how you view this twenty years from now.
Anyway, if she was going to go into the private sector some employer dodged a bullet and HR nightmare.
A Columbia University student wearing zip-tie handcuffs tore up her diploma on stage Sunday as an act of defiance following recent concerns about anti-Israel demonstrations on campus.
In a livestream video of Columbia's School of Social Work commencement ceremony, a female graduate marched on stage with her arms above her head and wrists bound together by a plastic zip-tie.
I believe she was getting her Masters in Social Work degree, not "Women's Studies".
What a waste. For a profession that pays so little, why go to Columbia for a master's?
