At lease 10% of the condos on Oahu are leasehold.
Kahala Beach condos are an exception as Kamehameha Schools has played hardball and won't extend the lease. They also own the land for the Kahala Hotel and Waialae Country Club whose leases have been extended.
If they truly don't extend - it will be interesting to see what they do with the land.
