Here are some public schools at the elementary level that may indicate where there is a concentration of Black residents(full or part) within a community/school district. These schools will have the highest Black percentage within that district, but there may be other schools within that district with similar and./or notable percentages. a school may be the only school at that level as well.
You can search for more schools/school districts on the NYSED Report card website or here: Search For Schools and Colleges That last website will allow you to view private school information at the elementary level as well.
As for other small cities/towns and suburbs whose school districts haven't been mentioned on the list that may be worth a look are: Schenectady, Troy, Niagara Falls, Lockport, Corning, Geneva, Utica, Rome, Amsterdam, Oneonta, Ithaca, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, Liverpool, North Syracuse, Onondaga Central, Jamesville-DeWitt, Lyncourt, Newfield, Clyde-Savannah, Lyons, Newark, Sodus, Albion, Medina, North Colonie, Guilderland and Rensselaer, among some others.
An article that mentions a couple of programs and an organization that may be of interest to some that are viewing the thread: Urban League, at 50, remains strong
Similar to the Upper Middle Class Black neighborhoods thread, here are some census tracts in Upstate NY with similar criteria(at least 20% Black and a median household income in at least the mid $40,000s/43k and up/lower range of "middle class"): Census Tract 010201 in Erie County, New York
