Had been considering a visit to the lower Hudson River Valley area (Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, Croton-Harmon) sometime this summer, but it turns out Van Cortlandt Manor is closed in 2023 and likely 2024 as well. At this point, I'm debating whether to:

-just go this year and see everything else (Kykuit, Sunnyside, Lyndhurst, Philipsburg Manor, Union Church of Pocantico Hills), not returning in future to see Van Cortlandt.

-wait until 2024 or 2025 and see everything.

Or in other words, how essential is a visit to Van Cortlandt Manor? I only want to visit this area once.

Thanks!

When you go- make sure to visit historic Downtown Ossining. If you like historic architecture this is a must-see & in the middle of your stops.
