I don't know if it's been discussed, but here in CT on our cable TV stations, there is a commercial about doing business in NY. The commercial shows scenes from businesses in Corning and Plattsburgh. It's neat. I don't think it's a local commercial, however. I remember seeing similar NY commercials when I lived in Ohio.

They are played across the state, if I'm not mistaken and I believe they are played in adjacent/nearby states as well.
