Why not give him a prepaid debit card so he can spend as he wishes? By giving him a gift to a specific place, you run the risk of selecting a place he wouldn’t have selected. Now, if you have an idea of a place he likes, that would be a different story. There are so many restaurants and concerts in NOLA, it would be a hit or miss for you without knowing his preferences.
