I haven't lived in New Orleans since mid 2014, so I don't know how much things have changed since I left. I will say that back in 2014, living in the Uptown/Lower Garden area, I never felt truly safe there, even though there were certain things that I did to make myself less of a target. Still, as I was affiliated with Tulane/Loyola Universities, I took advantage of Tulane's "Safe Ride" for rides home after studying in the library at night . . . the number of crime bulletins describing student and other victims of crime in the area were troubling. If I had a car, I probably would've lived a little outside of the city proper. Of course, I was never a victim of crime and wouldn't discourage one from living in the City due to crime issues. New Orleans is a very special place that I was glad to call home for a few years.

Well when it comes to crime always been partial to da west bank. When the thugs ran to Houston after Katrina and roughed up da place, always proud the way the West Bank held their turf, The LA boys showed them what was up, lol. Course no one living in Colorado has a clue. Me and a work buddy that lives in the East were keeping count over who was winning the war, took the lead when the LA boys hacked a few up with a sword in da fema park down the street from my house, long live da WESTBANK
