there was an interesting article in the newspaper this last week https://pvtimes.com/tonopah/how-hist...ctions-129607/

tonopah is FULL of historical buildings. it is our county seat & at one point was very very wealthy. today it's one of thos "blink & you'll miss it" type of towns. there's a project that is trying to highlight the history of the old buildings in hopes that people will stay longer in town instead of just passing thru. it's an on-going project, so the data on the webpages may change over time as more & more information becomes available for each building.

each building or gravesite has some interesting history. the old cemetery can be found directly behind the clown motel on main street.

if anyone needs help with their sprinkler system, i recommend pahrump valley sprinklers! it's a family run business. i called on wednesday, they showed up on thursday at the time they were supposed to & they explained everything thoroughly.

any weather buffs out there? we've got a training opportunity this month that sounds kinda interesting - learn how to identify weather patterns & alert the media about potential issues. doesn't look like you need to rsvp. i wonder what kind of turn out they will have?
