In a new move for the Army, a new warrant officer skill set has become the newest specialty in the warrant officer career field.

This recent 2024 congressional testimony also acknowledges that the Army is keeping the “prep course” for recruits before they go into basic training. That’s a pre-basic training. Once again, this is not an indication of excellence in the recruiting pool.
