Crocheting. I learned both when I was young but always come back to crocheting. I recently started crocheting again and have made some scarves and quite a few beanies. I'm hoping to sell them at the farmer's market when I move to Colorado next month.

I think crocheting is easier than knitting. I watch my friend knit and I don't know how she does it. I tried but had to keep ripping out rows because I lost count or missed a stitch. I have crocheted many things, mostly baby blankets.

I crochet, but frankly grew tired of it. I expanded into a knitting board, and then added pin weaving. My favorite at this point is the pin weaving, as it seems easier on my aging hands. Crochet is SO bulky most of the time, although I do like using crochet thread.

Since I started out crocheting, I found with knitting that two needles that I preferred crochet with the one hook. Easier to just throw down and pick back up, and no slipping off like with knitting.

I agree with K12144. Learn the one which will allow you to make things that you like. I prefer the look of knitted items. Fortunately my mother was an expert knitter and began teaching me when I was nine.

I can do both, but I'm slow and find crocheting faster. I could knit nicely, and prefer the look a lot of times, but I just am not going to live long enough to find the time it takes me to make the kind of things I'd like to.
