Well, OP, you signed the contract. Did you read it beforehand?
Most contracts, including property leases, have provisions for terminating the contract (lease). Have you complied with those provisions? If so, you're on the hook for whatever THE CONTRACT YOU SIGNED has you on the hook for.
Are you going to claim the contract wasn't a legally allowable one? Good luck with that; most rental leases make use of the state's standardized format and the owner just fills in the appropriate blanks - specifically so that they and you are ensured that the lease complies with the law.
