Alright so I estimate I'm around 20% body fat at 168 pounds or 76.5 kilograms. To get to my goal body fat percentage (15% or thereabouts) I'm probably going to have to get down to 156-160 lbs or 70-72.5 kilograms.
I'm not rushing this as it's the last hurdle to reaching my goal but I already have plans for what I do when I achieve what I set out to do in the first place and that is to gradually increase my caloric intake with protein rich and lean foods in an attempt to add more muscle to my frame.
At 6 foot 156 pounds is very, very light and although I'll be toned I won't be satisfied with my size.
I think the whole focus on weight is the wrong one.
If you want to do workouts, that's great.
But what about food?
I think a Mediterranean style, plant based diet will be great for both health AND weight loss.
If you're getting great nutrition, you really don't need to eat 1900-2100 calories a day. And Mediterranean style food is so good, you will be less tempted to cheat.
Here are some plant based recipes that I enjoy eating:
For the one below, I use 1/2 the couscous recommended. I add and extra bell pepper, as well as kalamata olives, and feta cheese. They mention in the commentary that you can use double the dressing mentioned in the recipe and I do.
For the chickpea spinach salad, I add 1/3 to 1/2 cup of cousous, kalamata olives, & feta cheese. A little couscous is great for absorbing the dressing.
This Moroccan chicken and couscous soup isn't really plant based, but you can reduce the chicken a little or increase the vegetables and broth if you want. I sometimes add celery or a carrot or both if I them hand. But it's great just as it is, as well. It's really a hit with most of my friends.

I need to up my calories (or did recently) as I got way down to 157 lbs (or 71.5 kg) which was too light for me as people began to notice and commented on how much weight I'd lost in my face...
I'm sitting at 162 right now... I've decided to ditch the calorie counting and just eat until I feel full/healthy but make sure it's good food and not junk.
