TSYS also needs to follow in SYNOUVS foot steps when it comes to downsizing. Should have bought the Gov't center tower.

I think the excess parking lot along 2nd avenue can be redeveloped and reconnect 1st avenue with railroad underpass!

Columbus (or Phenix City) needs more riverfront bars and restaurants.

Regardless, downtown is starting to look amazing. A new skyline that pays homage to the red brick mill architecture of the past is exactly how Columbus will forge a unique identity.

I think Columbus has a good amount of restaurants on the riverfront. We probably wouldn't see too many bars going down there though.

I think Phenix City needs to work on their "Downtown area". Especially Whitewater Ave and Broad street. I think Phenix City budget has miraculously been in the profit zone for some time now so I would think it would be worth their while to develop some kind of attraction or draw to the area!

The PC side definitely needs an upgrade, it seems like they had some momentum years ago with the addition of Troy and The Courtyard but not much since. Sitting across the river at the rooftop bar, the current view is of an outdated shopping center featuring the dollar tree. If I recall correctly, isn’t WC Bradley going to redevelop the area as the next/final phase of Riverfront Place?

Phenix City Had This Big Brickyard Project planned back in the day
It was going to have mix use, housing, and 2 high-rises
Not sure if that will ever come back into play--- they also had a high-rise planned for dillingham
