Thanks Mike but I meant bus services within the COS metro like RTD in Denver. I'm not dependent on it but I did use it around Denver because the coverage was so convenient. It did seem like RTD started cutting back since the start of COVID though.

The Colorado Springs bus service is called Mountain Metro Transit. https://coloradosprings.gov/mountainmetro
I used it sometimes as a kid but not since. I looked into using it for commute at one point but the timing of routes didn't work with my work hours. It can take a long time to get from A to B and for work commutes service might not start early enough or go late enough if you have a long route. Also, I don't think routes have expanded even close to matching city development or growth since the 80s, so there are many newer neighborhoods that are not covered.

I had to use city buses for awhile to get to classes at Pikes Peak Community College, normally a 20-minute drive. It took almost two hours to get there. This was in the mid 1990s, so I don't know if things have improved since then, since that's the last time I used the bus service. It was not fun.

Getting a lot closer to my move and I'm looking for short term rentals so I can take my time looking at houses. I found something that looks good but the location is kind of close to COS airport. I wouldn't want to listen to jets coming in and out all day long. Would the area along E. Fountain Blvd. between Acadamy and Powers be okay or will the airport noise be a problem? Putting the airport way out east is one thing Denver really did right.

I don't think the airport noise will be too bad there but depends on your tolerance of course.
