The following in bold is a copy and paste from today's "Sacramento Bee" e-edition. The article is quite long, and someone will complain even for this short clip. Never mind that I provide free marketing to the "Bee".

Out-squatted: Handyman Flash Shelton will squat with your squatters

Although every case is different, there’s generally an easy way and a hard way to remove a squatter.
The easy way: Wait for the squatter to leave the home and secure possession of the property while they’re gone. Change the locks and install security cameras. “Now, they’re fighting to get back in instead of the homeowner fighting to get them out,” he said. The situations are tense, but he said he stays calm. The deescalation training helps.

“I know these people didn’t wake up with the intention to ruin my day. Squatters aren’t attacking me or my family. They’re just taking advantage of a system,” he said. “The last thing I want to do is aggravate a situation that could be handled civilly, and part of that is being nice.”

The hard way: squatting with the squatter.
“If I can’t get them off the property, I’ll move in with them,” he said. “I walk in, sit on the couch, pour a bowl of cereal and say, ‘Lucy, I’m home!’”
He hands the squatter a copy of the lease and explains that he’s not going anywhere – that he’s there to make their living situation miserable and “turn it into a reality show” with cameras everywhere.
They’re typically out by the end of the day.

The article claims Flash is charging $ 5,000 or more for his services. The other advice is that do not contact an attorney because that makes the job more difficult and takes longer time.
In a former post I was advocating the use of Hells Angels or other similar groups of the highest character. The other tip I dreamed up is to declare the home a Pit Bull Rescue Center and load a dozen of these adorable pups ( easily available at your local shelter) in a truck and let them run free all over the house. For best results do not allow the dogs in the yard and keep all windows tightly closed...... the smell alone should work after the third day .....

I see Florida just passed a bill to allow their law enforcement to immediately remove a squatter dismissing any court involvement. Good on them. Hopefully more coming

That was a great video. Nice of Squatter Squad to film and post it. This crap is getting ridiculous. I heard those squatters saying to the men that they needed a court order or a 3-day quit order so that tells you these people know exactly what they're doing and trying to get away with it. I hope more step up and form groups that will get these people out of homes they don't belong in. You reach a point where you say, "enough is enough." And this is enough. Not just in CA but everywhere. Every day there's a new story about these people taking over someone's empty home. Too bad, so sad if they end up on the street. They're crooks trying to stay out of the rain by illegally taking over someone else's home. THAT!

Oh heck, just take the Jack Reacher approach. Hire a guy to come with a long bed and enter the home and start loading all their junk into the long bed to be taken to the trash heap. Physically escort the bums out and have a locksmith on hand as well. To these losers threats could work better then letting them run all over you. Yeah yeah I know you'll come back at me talking about how the law this and the law that. That's the problem with the law. Sometimes vigilante justice is the BEST answer.

I really feel sorry for people in states like California that protects the squatters. I would go batchit crazy over something like this.
The Einstein's in California voted for this. If they wanted to change this perhaps they should be voting the idiots that made this law a reality out of Sacramento.

Guess you haven’t read much, if any, of this thread beyond the post you quoted because it appeals to you, huh?

If it were only that easy, paleo. These laws of which you speak were not voted in by us. They've been on the books for eons. Look it up.
