My former college roommate was married at Pasadena City Hall years ago. I recall it was a beautiful, scenic area. Hotels and restaurants are close by also.

Huntington Library in San Marino may be another venue to look into. It is elegant and classy.

Lots of wineries in Temecula have wedding venues. Most resort hotels have wedding venues also.

Thanks. For the Huntington, you have to be a paid member of some society first.

Good luck on your wedding planning. I didn’t know that about the Huntington, it is good to know. Attended a relatives wedding there years ago and the place was really nice and memorable.

A family member of a long term Southern California girlfriend (we went to the wedding) had the wedding and the reception at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla:

When some friends from college got married, the wedding was at a nearby church, but the reception was at The Athenaeum (Victor Maitland's private club in Beverly Hills Cop, also a focus of Season 11 Episode 17 of The Big Bang Theory):

It is a private club, but.....there is a list of reciprocal clubs:

One of the reciprocal clubs is the Marines Memorial Club....so if you have a family member who is a Marine....

As a local valley guy, I got married at the Sportman's Lodge in Studio City on Ventura blvd and Coldwater Canyon. Was 20 years (almost) ago but it was great with the ponds, the swans, the food was AMAZING and it was local to all of our friends/relatives.
My sister got married on the Queen Mary many years ago…It was lovely..

Most weddings in SoCal are outdoors now..

My niece got married last January in PuertoVallerata Mexico

It was a spectacular event. We all stayed for five days or so at one of those all inclusive resorts..
About 150 came…family from both Ca and East Coast

Wedding was at a venue called Martoca….about 20 miles from resort…picked us up in 3 buses..
Location was a gorgeous spot….ocean front, dinner etc on a huge grassy spot..sit down dinner, fireworks at sunset..

Most beautiful wedding we have ever attended..black tie. Cute to see my 83 year old hubby in a tux

Ironically my sister the brides mother said it actually was less expensive than an OC event

Obviously all guests paid own air fare and resort expenses…well worth it

Bride is a twin! We took our grandtwin daughters with us.

Good luck with your planning..

Continued thank you's guys & for the links too! I'll still be checking back here. This is going to be very, very simple, but don't want to do it at city hall.
