Hello,

I currently live in Ontario, California but the apartment prices here are rising like crazy. I found some cheaper apartments in Moreno Valley and looks good in pics. Planning to go explore it over the weekend.

Is Moreno Valley a good place to live?

I am a single female, work in Redlands and non-US citizen(just incase if some areas are not foreigner friendly). I had choosed Ontario because it's in the opposite direction of peak traffic. I didn't like apartments in Redlands or Loma Linda. Just see one in Yucaipa which I am yet to call to check availability. All other apartments around Ontario has same rates and if I am moving, I was thinking to move closer to workplace if I could find a better apartment.

Thanks!

It depends on the apartments, but really none of them are really bad except for some old section 8 ones on Adrienne Ave & Courage st.
Moreno Valley residents like to bag on their own town on the Facebook group but there's alot of cities in the Inland Empire where their residents say the same bad comments to try to be funny or recieve likes. Overall Moreno Valley is more "naturistic" compared to Ontario which feels very industrial. The crime rates and all those metrics are roughly the same. It is alot more diverse than pretty much every city in the IE aswell. The only thing is that the rents will be rising because the developers keep building huge homes and new apartments.
It is pretty nice and you'll probably take Reche Canyon Dr to work instead of the freeway.

Iffy. If you don't like the apartments in Redlands, Loma Linda or Colton (I don't recommend that city, at all), then you may not like what Moreno Valley has to offer.

You could also check Highland, but if the place in Yucaipa has availability, that's probably the way to go.

Since you work in Moreno Valley, you could also look at Beaumont. You can take the 60 W to work from I-10.

What "don't you like" about the apartments in redlands or loma linda? You're going the wrong direction, IMO.

FWIW, i went to U of R so have a general understanding of the area.

Pricing, more than likely. Personally, I'd much rather live in either/or (south of the freeway).
